Hey... I was thinking long time before posting this.

here is the thing. I got Xt8 last year, used and worn. I did love it, my reason to get it over Losi/Mugen was it's "tank" reputation. So basically it will be little less agile, but way more indestructible. I did love it so I bought 2009 spec this year.

I have two races with 2009 and I already destroyed quite a lot of parts -
- graphite ackerman - lasted like 3 laps
- 3 rear hub carriers (each really fast, two laps max) started with hitting something at 60km/h (thanks Wallot for bringing speed pistol ;) ) which is ok, my bad. Changed it and destroyed two more on perfectly normal jump.
- Front Lower Suspension Arm together with upper right arm - again normal jump
- pin hoped out form CVD drive axle (not because I did not tighten it up, it's because that part is lightened and stretched a little and pin went out) and completely killed my left front hub carrier

I am not saying I drive my truggy 10mph on flat road, but I am not bashing it in BMX concrete park either. Mostly all of the parts destroyed comes from lightened 2009 spec. So I am just wondering. Can stuff like that happen because I did something wrong while putting it together? Or maybe because e-truggy is somewhat heavier this could be the case?

I know nothing about XT's but that is a great photo...what was that a rear carrier fail on a cartwheel? I'd be disappointed but it's kind of in keeping with the crash, no?

yup carier... you can actually see wher it broke, because there is still that little axle in place...

I don't race, but I have bashed the hell out of my XT8 '08 the last 5 months and can say I have not had any major problems, even after 40-50mph cartwheels. Honestly, the body and body mounts are the only breakages I have had so far.

this is a stupid question but whats the outside temperature where your at? also the humidity
its looks like plastic fatigue to me

I have a feeling it was due to operator error, the tires are supposed to point down, towards the ground.

Well no idea about humidity. but it was about 27 C so quite hot. But still strange...

somebody told me to try boil some parts in hot water, which should make them more resistant... but still I mean, common it's more probable that I messed up, than that 3 different hubs from 3 different times were defected (one from 2008, on from 2009, one from 2005 buggy ;)

thats very strange. this truggy is a tank. you must have a heavy finger

well I don't know how you drive over the ocean, but this is very common style here in Europe. Idea is to flip car like that and than some guy who gets 10$ per day for doing so will flip it back and speed you up a lot! ;)
