Anybody seen these yet ? DX3S & R TX cases - 08.11.2009, 05:19 PM

These are made by Venom and are affordable compared to the aluminum hard cases but offer way more protection than a standard TX "bag". They seem to be made out of a very tight closed cell molded foam and are very light weight. I've ben using a Crown Royal bag so I looked like a lush at the track untill I pulled my TX out
We went fishing 100 miles north of home today and passed a new Hobbyshop and decided to check the place out. I seen them behind the counter and freaked because I had ben waiting for someone to come out with somthing affordable yet different. They weren't even priced yet, I paid 34.99 + tax.
Thought I'd share.

just too ugly :)

I like my trinity T-10 bag as it attaches to my Venom hauler, fits all radios not just DX3R/S, has extra pocket for in my case racing licence and it is for $20

My aluminum hard case for my DX3R was only $49.99...and even less than that after the coupon code I used on my order when I bought it and some other items from carolinasrc.com...free shipping too.

Well, maybe I over paid a little compared to a good hard case but I still like it.

Carolinas RC is awesome place and they have killer indoor track. The owner Jon will definitely hook you up with some good deals. There about to be getting real big in the next year with there new place opening up. There only about 20 minutes from me.

If it makes you feel any better Bondo, I think it's a neat case. Sure beats hauling mine around in a plastic wal-mart bin. Although, any case I would get would have to cost no more than ~$25 for me to consider it. Otherwise, my ghetto method works fine.

Mine just rattles around in the back of the car. Is that a bad thing?

Thanks for consoling me Brian, I feel much better now.
I did over pay for it, I found it at a couple places listed a few bucks cheaper.
I'm still happy w/it.

Look at it this way, it only cost about as much as the Upgrade-RC wrap on your DX3S and it protects the radio a heck of a lot more than the purty vinyl.

I have an aluminum "tool box" that is flat, but is a bit large, this, I can fit all my batteries (All of 6! :lol), my big ass charger, and thin piece of board over this, and I can fit a bit more stuff!

I can fit a lot more batteries if I tried, but I don't have that many....yet
