Performance wise the xl will give you more torque and tend to run a little cooler. The 9 will have more power than the 10 but less run time as a rule. Here is BK's web site to get more specs.

In what truck are you planning on using them?

It is a mixture of needed power vs amount of cells you want to use vs weight of the vehicle it needs to move..

In other words.. Need More Input... :)

How do you guys keep an eye on temps? What temp is ideal. Also what connectors do i need to hook this up to the warrior.

Get a temp gun (cost about $15). Ideal motor temps are 160F, anthing less is cool - There is a thread in the FAQ forum that is very useful on temps. The wanderers have 5.5mm gold connectors (Mike sells them here)

e-maxxes run in a large variaty of cells. Please read the FAQ, it is made for this.

The question you're asking needs more input..

question sounds simple.

What motor. E-maxx.. 10 answers are possible.
