I have the extended chassis kit from Mike, which I have to say is awesome quality and build. I am running a Mamba Max ESC and Medusa 3650-3300 V2 motor. I am stock spurred and running an 18 tooth pinion on Neu 2S 33C 5000 pack. It seems kind of slow. I am running default settings on my ESC with the punch control being set to 50%. Do I need to change my ESC settings, different pinion, change to a 3S, or a combo of things? Any help would be appreciated. I am used to running a brushless 8T aggressively and this setup is anything but aggressive for racing.

change the wheels to proline 30's or traxxas 2.8 annaconda's and go to a 3s pack...

I think the biggest issue is running 2s. Going up to 3s will make a huge difference. I run that exact motor on 3s with the MMPro and it works great. I can gear to over 35mph (which becomes a little hard to control off-road) and things stay cool and have long runtimes with 3.3Ah cells.

But if he wants to keep the 2s he can use up to a 7000kv motor in the crt.5 and mamba max. But the 3s is the cheapest option.

My crt.5 has seen 13000kv on 7.2V (3s A123 under load).

I am using 2.2 Revolver truck wheels I bought for this truck with Gladiator tires. I got the motor recommendation from this forum when I was planning this truggy. I remember reading in one of the earlier forums about 18 tooth being the choice pinion. So I guess my best solution is to get 3S?
