After a very long break from rc Ive desided to get back into it. I just resently bought the wife her first hobby quality rc, the losi high roller, and playing with it made me want to get my old ruslter going again.

Ive got a lehner basic xl3600, 3s lipo, and my quark 80b controller that I used to use but it got trashed last time i had the truck out. So Im in need of a new controller, i was thinking of getting the Castle Creations Sidewinder.

Would that controller work well with my motor and batt combo?

Welcoe back. I would suggest a Mamba Max, as that 3600xl is a potent motor, and the MM does a bit better with 3s and higher loads. The sidewinder is a great esc, I have a few of them ad they serve me well, but the MM is better for the more potent setups. Depending on your gearing you might get away with the SW, but I would prefer the extra "cushoin" that the MM has.

Definitely agree on the Mamba Max. Or if you can wait a week or two, the Mamba Max Pro will be out. Eitherway, you'll be safer than with the Sidewinder.

The MMPro is capable of 6s, sensored motors, and adjustable timing just to name a few of the newer technologies added on.
