WTF?? need help with CEN buggy - 10.30.2009, 03:42 PM

when i got my cen matrix buggy from Jason, it was missing a wheel nut, so i bought 4 ofna wheel nuts from amainhobbies. apparently, not all 17mm wheel nuts have the same thread pattern.

of the 3 hobby stores near me, none of them stock CEN stuff, so i need to know which other brands will fit (obviously, ofna jammin won't)

so, which brands WILL fit?

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

can't you just buy genuine replacements?

Xray XT8 (Neu powered) MMM on 5s
MD 500 scale heli - castle HV-45 on 3s
Eflite Blade 400 heli on 3s

I'm not positive, but I think the HPI nuts fit the CEN. Going way back in the memiry banks here. There are quite a few different brands that will work. Just bring the buggy down to the LHS with you and try them to find one that fits. It doesnt need to be CEN brand.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

you may try losi's, I lost a losi one, and none of the others I had around the house would fit it, (ofna, sportwerks, couple unknowns) so maybe its the same as yours. I too was stumped, as I figured they were all the same.
