Help me build my brushless REVO - 02.26.2006, 08:11 AM

Ok guys I just scored on a couple of used revos.

One of them runs great but I really hate nitro rc's with a passion. I love the revo design and feel so I want to do the brushless conversion. Everyone in my area is stuck on their crappy nitro trucks and I want this revo to completely embarrass and hurt their delicate feelings lol….if you know what I mean.

Ok so the obvious parts I need are the G2R conversion kit and the GorillaMaxx single speed transmission. I assume the Warrior 9920 controller will work fine, but I could get the 12020 Warrior controller if you think it would be better for a 4 or 6 cell lipo setup. I need to know which of the BK motors is going to work best for my setup (Wanderer 8XL?). It gets hot were I live so anything that can keep the heat down on the motor and controller will be good. As for batteries I am looking at the 8000Mah 2 cell lipos from maxamps.com. Maxamps also has a 6000mah 3cell that’s priced right. I could go with 2 of those but I’m not sure if 6cell lip is to much for the motor/controller. Seems like an awful lot of voltage lol. I kinda like the idea of having the option to run regular 6cell batteries as well as the lipos. But if that makes things too complicated then its no big deal and I’ll just stick with lipo only.

So is that everything I will need to be up and running? What bodies fit the G2R? I like this one here http://www.pro-lineracing.com/prolin...0/3148-60.html but I am not sure if it fits or not. If there are any other must have hopups for revo then please bring them to my attention.

Thanks for the help guys, I love this forum.
