My New RC8 E-Rc Monster conversion - 11.13.2009, 05:58 PM

Here is my 2nd hand RC8-Got off ebay which was a novak converted one with a Novak HV 4.5 Brushless system. I sold the novak stuff, and got a lovely Tekin RX8 T8 1,700Kv system. And He, recommended I got the RC-Monster Conversion kit from RC-Monster in the U.S. And been recommended there stuff by another mate so I did it. 7days late my kit cropped up in the post.
I have not had the time/weather to test this bad boy outside let aloe the track.. but Im very confident it will do me well. To acompany my Nitro Xray 809. Here it is, as asked Marvin

My Quick shell I wipped up=-Wanted to colour to br brighter but oh well-Need to add vent holes and hole for aerial. P.S. I do realise im missing the left rear hub in this pic-Was stripped from the previous owner

GOING TO MOVE THE ON/OFF SWITCH AS THE WIRE IS A GOOD 1/2 INCH FROM SPUR.. BUT TO BE SAFE..AND REDOING MY CONNECTORS-Crappy soldering iron not hot enough to melt both parts...And the ESC wire has been moved to the battery straps to avoid getting caught-As seen in pic below

Underside of the chassis-I added a AE Skid pad-Wanted to try the AE one.. liked the DE but never seen the AE ones.. so why not haha

Hopefully he'll love it! It was my old one. I got on fine with it, but with the end of the season, naturally I wanted to try something different - so I've bought an MMP and a T8 1400kV motor to run on 6S.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Um, I hvnt really tried it tbh.. From what I have read/heard I should like it.. I know there were slight issues regarding rotor's breaking.. but I think thats been or being fixed.. It not my main class so im not too worried about that. Im a nitro guy at heart. The leccy is mainly for practice/fun and to put the milage on and save my Xray 808 09 Spec for racing.. But I will post up my thoughts when I have put a few packs through it.. but Im pritty sure I will be very happy..

If you are a nitro guy, you will love the smoothness of the Tekin system...maybe want to run in full time...and with more power at your finger tips, smoother acceleration..who knows

If I did not have a Mugen buggy already, the associated would be my choice w/Mike's kit

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S
