Who makes Custom bodies or is there a How to ? - 12.02.2009, 01:29 AM

Hello everyone,
After building my custom 1/5th Rev-Osi (Revo-Losi) AWD 6s Lipo Sedan I have decided that with my passion for F-1 cars I want to find or make my own Formula 1 or Lola 1/5th body. Also the sedan body creates a terrible handling.

I saw on youtube the guy building a 1/4 Gravedigger with 1/4 V8 engine and all, and even a hand made body.
So anyway has anyone come across a How to on making Polycarbonate bodies ?

Any direction where to find a used F-1 or how to I would greatly appreciate.

I plan on going to horizontal suspension
Cheers

If you want to make body by your self, check youtube with "vacuum forming".
I have ordered some bodys from Kamtec, but nothing special made.

I had a buddy that used a dishwasher motor to do vacuum forming for making skim boards, so that part sounds fairly easy.
The more I think about it I dont have or see how I could acheive the detail in making my own, at least it would be a crazy amount of time.

This Is the most Awesome car for the Price I canrt wait to get it. I found this Awesome F-1 1/5 car I could use the body or just overhaul the whole thing with new drivetrain and electronics and so on.

I'd like to buy it now and modify but I'll have to sell a few things as I'm still out of a job.

1/5 Formula 1 RC $80.
