Does anyone run Flex Chassis braces?

Like the spring flex unit from Fioroni?

Replaces the solid rear chassis brace with what basically looks like another shock absorber.


Anyone run them? If so how do they perform?

Hmm, seems a bit gimmicky...

I have heard that some people prefer to run the plastic rear chassis braces since they flex more and allow the chassis to absorb some of the force from the suspension. I guess this is the next level? It will have to be made very well, and gas charged...

i have one and i dont like it

it could be because of my carbon fiber chassis, it could be because i am just more used to the way the buggy was before

i can tell you it had alot more flex in the rear when useing it but again it may be diffrent with an aluminum chassis

its not a gimmick, brushlessboy. i have used them on all my rides and noticed a big difference. in fact, the difference was too much so i used 8mm washers to dial in the amount of flex. by placing washers over shaft where the spring sits it acts like a spring retainer nut on your shocks. the more washers you use the less flex you get. anyway, i was able to dial in the right amount of flex for my track and saw noticeable gains in handling. it just felt much more supple all around. friends who drove my cars commented on that they noticed it too. check my threads on my RC8t and Losi 8b 2.0 and you will see how i used them with the washers.
