I sealed mine up with liquid tape and it's been going strong all winter. Fan still works but only comes on when I first hook it up. I've had my MADD packed with snow to the point that when I took off the body I almost had the same shape out of snow.
Its a warrenty void, but if your esc is over 12 months old, or you have a 'devil may care' attitude & like puddles, the plastidip or other sealant type mod does seem to work very well. That red monster that maneba has done looks like an Mtroniks item almost, only, redder...
Looks like it works, but since there is still work to be done on my G3 before I can get it moving again, there is no need yet to get it water/snow proof.
But I'll definately will keep this method in mind...
Well mine still works. I used the aerosol because it's the only one I could get in my country (cost me about 16€)
I did run in snow (wet and powder) and it was covered in it but no problems. Also ran stock the day before (not sprayed yet) and it survived but started to cog once and some smoke came out. Maybe it was the fan.
Read the whole thread before posting- yes, it is a definate warrenty void as it makes the esc impossible to work on to repair it/ perform diagnostics. If the esc is over 12 months old then you would only have to pay the flat rate non-warrenty repair/replacement fee of $70-75.

I beleive the question was about the aerosol spray that seems to be about the same as WD-40, that I don't think would void the warranty
Thank you VORT3X That was a very impressive demonstration. I believe that I would be too afraid of plopping my ESC into water and pluggin it in, but from your video it is hard to dispute the facts. Nice video and great product. Thanks for sharing the info with us.
