Smile The LST XXL and Neu 1521 1900kv - 03.26.2010, 07:31 PM

Just purchased the Neu 1521 1900KV off Brandon, and a MMM to go with...

It will be going into a LST XXL with the dude mount and single speed hub.

My questions is to you more experienced LST-E fans, what would be the tallest gearing I could do for it?

I will be running the stock XXL tires for bashing and LPR's for racing, looking for about 45-50mph bashing and ~35mph racing.

I will be running on 5S.

Thanks in advance, Mike.

sorry mike your never going to be able to gear an lst xxl for 50mph on 5cell

with the dude mount you are limited to a max gearing of 30/65

without factoring voltage drop under load your going to hit 47mph, you could do the bottom gear swap mod and maybe be hit 50 according to brians caculator but im pretty sure you wont get to 45mph

Bummer, looks like I have to buy a couple of 6S.

I will probably be running the stock 63 spur and maybe this http://www.losipartshouse.com/servle...n%2C-Hi/Detail with the dude's pinion adapter.

I think this is the best I can get it. I will do the FOC swap as well, just a pain to take the tranny apart for a second time...

the FOC is worth the trouble, do the swap mod while you have the tranny apart too

6cell is a much better fit to the lst anyway, if you dont have a pinion yet RCM mike's is $12 and alot harder than the losi pinion plus his go up to 30T

Yea i would def go with Mike's pinion if his shipping was not 20$ to Canada, for bigger items such as mounts and stuff like that is ok, but for a pinion it is a bit too much.

Not bashing Mike's price on shipping because everything comes in super quick and he is very reliable.

I actually think you'll be close to 50mph on 5s with the stock XXL tires. They're almost an inch taller than the LPR's so that makes up a bunch on gearing. 6s would definitely get you there also.

Yep, checked with Brian's calculator (Hes a god for creating it). And about 50mph with 25 63 XXL tires and 40 and a bit with LPR's. Think I will leave my tranny without the swap, I don't want to go over 50...
