Stronger driveline for the flux ?

Stronger driveline for the flux ? - 05.15.2010, 04:55 AM

Hi !

I'd like to run my savage flux for more than 3/4 pack before it break's down :)
is there any upgrade part's like drive shafts and output's that are alot stronger than the stock part's ? I,ve only driven my flux for mane 3 pack's since i bought it in october last year, because of the fact that it always breakäs down on me !

The stock diffgears lasted for 3min's and the output's for 10-20min !
The output's split into two parts and the driveshaft pins snaped.

Have you not upgraded to the bullet proof diffs yet??? No1 upgrade!

I have been running my flux for ages and only twisted on drive shaft... they are quite stong...
Just get some spares to put in on occasion.... are you jumpinig by any chance when you are doing this damage?

Nope it was on a soccerfeild :( (gravel/sand) and i,ve adjuted the slipper so it slips for 2-3 feet .

wow i've got a stock flux and have ran it for a good 6 months only replacing some a arms cuz i ran into a wall sideways. even has the old diffs not bulletproof, of course i am running on only 4S are you on 6s?

Did you by chance inspect your truck for a seized bearing when you took it apart last time? Based on the last three threads you have done about your Flux - all had the same theme. And you have stated that you dont do a lot of big jumps.
There are usually only 5 causes causes of driveline failure of this type:
1) Landing big jumps on power
2) Backflips on high traction surface (pavement or grass)
3) Hard side impact that would compress/flex the a-arms enough to cause the steel to break.
4) Manufacturing defect
5) Overpowered driveline

You have ruled out #1 previously, dont know about #2,#3. #4 is a possibility, but it sounds like you have broken the same parts twice. #5 should be ruled out - there are too many of us that run ours hard on 6S and have not experienced anything close to what you have. The only other thing I could think of is possibly a seized up bearing - but I would think it would have been an obvious thing to cause that damage.

If what you are saying is factual, maybe get it fixed, and make a video of you driving it until it fails (since it always breaks within 3/4 of a pack).
