I got my truck running!!

Hi all, I got my first bl project running (e-maxx). It runs great. I have a 8xl and a 9920 and right now I am running 14 GP3700's and it is very fast. Does anyone know why the motor had to have spacers so the pinion and spur would align (see pic's). Thanks to this form I was able to build this truck without any problems.
