Raging -

I dropped $580 at Daves Discount Motors for a 30.5cc engine and dual pipes for my 5b. I got the order today.
Some unscrupulous bastard sent me a 29cc engine that is worth $110 less than I paid and a full horsepower less than the larger engine.
I left a phone message and sent an e-mail, but they're out till monday.
I believe they'll make it right and things will end amicably, until then RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks Harold...
Sounds exactly like what happened to my wife today. She was trying to order tickets for my daughters b-day coming up. She had the tickets she wanted, date she wanted, etc, but, when she did the confirm order, the screen changed and the dates were different and the artist was different. To make matters worse, they will not exchange tickets or anything. Needless to say, we are out $500- and my daughter is not going to the show.

DDM will make right, they have excellent customer service. I'll bet they even offer a UPS prepaid label to ship the wrong one back.
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Now...I absolutely love brushless, so don't get me wrong, and I am building another nitro Supermaxx just for the hell of it, but "gasoline powered" vehicles are a completely different world, and well worth NOT converting them to brushless!
The sound, smell, and power of a true ringed-piston, spark-plugged, pre-mixed gasoline, engine-powered vehicle is a bug that bites you instantly the very second you get a chance to run one, and there is just nothing like it, nothing even comes close!
Brushless HPI Bajas are really cool, and sometimes you find yourself "having" to convert them from gasoline to brushless for various reasons (Mike's conversion kit is without question the best that money can buy), but they are nothing like when they were gasoline-powered!
Just my $0.02...

Once you get that bad-boy installed, let us know how much better she runs...I have heard that it makes ALL the difference in the world (like going from a 125cc 4-stroke to a 500cc 2-stroke!!!)!

Harold, I ain't mad at you. I just wanted to see if all Baja drivers were the over sensitive type.
That's a nice looking setup. But I have to question the effectiveness of the dual pipes, for ideal tuning.

So true, especially with Castor 927 , but I prefer to get my 2-stroke fix in 250cc ride on vehicle. I can't hear a 2-stroke, and not want to ride. As a matter of fact, just talking about it is making me want to ride.

Oversensitive? I don't have ICE in my veins
I'm a 'lil worried about tuning in general. I hope the pipe will be okay, it's made for the 5b by jetpro so it should be cool.
I've been reading up on the baja forum about tuning, I'm going into this blind.
It's not the sound of a 2-stroke for me, it's the smell. If I smell a lean mix my heart gets pumping. I snowmobiled from the age of 10, and averaged 2000 miles a winter of riding. Oh how I miss it. Now I r/c
