is this a clone of another truck? - 06.20.2010, 11:07 PM

it is pretty cheap considering that it is brushless and it looks like a good truck to do some parking lot bashing with.

my biggest concern is parts availability and if it is a clone, getting parts won't be a problem.

so....anybody know if this a clone of something?

edit: forgot link

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Nothing about it seems strikingly familiar... I will say, though, it looks kind-of fragile.

I know coming from the guy that bought your clone baja that I might be a bit of a hypocrit but buy a name brand.it looks like and exceed RC truck and they are total POS Chinese CRAP.I literally broke my truck IN HALF the Al was so cheap. There wasn't a run with that truck that lasted more than 10min.if you want a relatively cheap brushless truck get something like an firestorm flux or one of team associateds new BL RTR's.--Josh

You can pick up a good used name brand BL truck for near that price. Stadium trucks will break, and when they do you need replacement parts, good luck finding them for that truck. If just bashing find a rustler VXL or if racing go for a losi or associated.

i already have a beat up old rustler. that is my 1/10 basher. it just needs a new motor and esc. i put a dent in the motor as a result of 25ft high double backflips and the esc is messed up too. i just figured, for $120, i could get a new esc and motor and have a new truck to mess around with. i think i'll just try to send in my vxl system to traxxas. i think their lifetime flat fee warranty is only $45.

Yeah, try for a used deal iffin' you want something. I got a 2wd Slash for $60, and a VXL system for $50 and have a nice rig. I already had a Eurgle RX to pop in it. Only thing is the body, I'm not real crazy about it...
