The list just keeps growing! -
07.07.2010, 06:58 PM
I just added another to my list of “won’t ever buy from again” and it is yet another Hong Kong shop (go figure LOL). This time it's for reasons of dishonest business practice. The Co. is Rcmart aka Dinball and their scam is an old one with a new twist, it’s basically bait and switch but their twist to the old scam is they don’t just draw you in with inventory they don’t have, they take your money first and then want you to buy something else from their inventory and if there is nothing else you need they inform you that it will take 2-3 weeks before they will refund your money because of “their so called mistake” in hopes that this will persuade you to purchase something anyway. This is despicable business practice but from what I have read and heard is becoming much more common place in today’s impersonal Internet market place. And for those of you that have had a great experience with this Co. and feel compelled to tell everyone, let me just say in advance…How wonderful for you! Yea I’m pissed.

GEORGEC,
From this post and previous posts ,it seems that maybe you should do a bit more research before your next purchase "your input is valued but always negative prior to positive".I am waiting for the fans that you suggested to use in certain castle products to come back in stock. No disrespect intended at all

I've bought some parts off them from ebay. They were useful as they had parts I couldn't find anywhere else. OTOH, one spur I bought from them was claimed to be OEM, but it didn't fit the diff properly at all, and they just gave some BS runaround to how they would fix it. Spent a lot of time on it, got nowhere and eventually I told them to GFTS.
eh.

Dinball sucks for sure, I delt with them bastards years ago.
If purchased on Ebay send seller a email telling them what you want (refund) then file claim for item not recieved and click the box for wanting a refund. Wait till seller responds and then look for the option to escalate claim for ebay to handle it. Add note that communication is impossible with seller due to comunication breakdown/translation problems. You "should" get a immediate refund via Ebay.
I did this a couple weeks ago with a Xenon Headlight kit I bought for my wifes car, after argueing with the seller via broken english and terrible translations I decide to let ebay handle it. I got my $130.00 refund back within minutes and kept the kit ! I'll buy the kit elsewhere and have 2 ballasts and some parts to spare. Win Win !
I retired from RC, now life is all about guns and long range shooting.

Harold, we all know your sexuality is questionable at best. Please dont advertise the fact your waiting on a new double ended bowling pin sized marital aid.
I'm sure Hippie would be very interested tho ?

Seems dishonest to me, you should only get a refund if you returned it or did not receive it. Maybe someone needs to report this to ebay. Win Win my a55, someone has to pay for it! Ebay will just have to raise the fees to support welfare cases like you and the rest of honest people have to pay for it, thanks alot!
