First time at a track!! ( practice only) - 08.12.2010, 03:10 PM

All I can say wow!!
It was a race weekend and I joint them for the friday practice.
My maxx didn't have anough speed to clear the second big double in the back.
The nitro guys don't seem to have ANY trouble with it. Some are top notch driver. Those Rigs are made for this purpose!!
I know I'm only on 4s for now but after this last friday, I bought a pair of
Turnigy nano-tech 5000mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack
Here is some pics of the track. ( the deck is 32' long 17' high)
This is my first experience with a track, can you tell me if it's a nice one!!
Cheer

Hell yah that is a nice track. I am envious of you. My local track isn't much fun. I still need to get some pictures of the one I built but anyways. You are one lucky dog. I would have a blast on something like that. Killer jumps!

high end racing nitro engines can push buggy/truggy over 40mph easily and their torque is quite high so with good clutch setting it is not that hard to clear long jumps :)

so far measured top speed on my nitro buggy - 46mh on 200feet straight :)
my electric truggy top speed is just about 40mph but of course on a track where my best lap time with nitro buggy is around 43s I am under 39s with my truggy :)

and very nice track BTW :)

Nice tack...looks quite technical. Need to stay in a rhythm to make good lap times on that track

I bet your hands were shaking the whole time , nothing like the first time, even practicing. Very nice track, good learning to be had there. Which Emaxx you got, If it's the one with the 2200 motor, you should be able to get the double with a small gearing change

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Awesome track, which I would have one like that near me.

Anyway, your Maxx is a MT, it's not made for racing on tracks like this. If you have the green buy yourself a buggy/truggy ... than the fun can really start ;)
