Will opening up an MMM void the warranty? - 11.19.2010, 02:51 PM

I need to open up my speed control to clean out a bunch of sand and gravel. First question is if i do open it is my warranty gone? Second question is how do you open it? Also the fan does not work any more, is that common?

Built Ford tough, with Chevy stuff.

No opening the case won't void your warranty. You can get a replacment fan that comes with new case halves and stickers. There are smalll plastic tabs on the sides near the bottom that release the case halves.Be sure not to stick anything to far in while trying to release them.

That is really surprising. Castle m ust be the only electronics company that will not void a waranty for that. Pretty cool!

Replacement fan and case

How to open the case

Try cleaning your fan... the gap between the rotor and stator is really tight and just a little sand can jam it .
