4mm bullet connectors - 12.08.2010, 05:33 PM

I decided to get rid of all of my traxxas connectors so i can use something a bit easier. I had some of these laying around and thought it would be easier to use these because i could eliminate the series adaptor on both of my MMM's simply by seperating the halves on the battery leads so i can just hook up a + and - battery lead together and then connect the 2 batteries to the ESC. Do you guys think they are good enough? or is something bigger needed?

You'll end up with the same physical number of connections in the end, just different connectors. If you wanted something that could handle more current then EC5s kick ass, otherwise I'd stick with trx plugs really. Does your MMM come hardwired with a series connector ( like the BL edition emaxx and erevo ) or do you have a separate series harness plugged into a single connector coming from the esc?

I can never seem to solder to the traxxas ones, so i cut them off and discarded them. yeah it was hardwired with a series connector. actually by doing it this way it does away with one connection and a piece of wire, and makes it look cleaner and less bulky. what are the EC5s connectors? linky?

I use 6mm bullets (from Neu) on all my batteries now. It made it very easy to run three batteries in series for 8s when I was doing that. I put the male bullet on battery negative and female on battery positive (with the opposite on esc and charger).
