MMM Combo Question - 03.01.2011, 10:30 AM

Doesn't the MMM Combo come with Castlelink anymore? I just purchased a Combo from Tower (had to get other stuff Mike didn't have as well) and no Castlelink even though the quick start guide says it's included. I have ended up using my Castle Field Link (had V1.24 software from the box, old stock? Have updated to latest Beta anyway) so it's not a huge deal, just wasn't aware they'd stopped including it.

Also the included pinion is it 32 pitch or Mod 1? (2200kv motor)

...hope I have more luck with the MMM than I did a yr ago!

The pinion I got with my 1518 was mod 0.8, and was marked as such.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...

Was there maybe a little slip of paper in the box that was basically a coupon to get a free link? IIRC, Castle stopped including them in every box so that people wouldn't have a bunch of unused links sitting around, but could still get them if the needed with the coupon.

Yeah I checked that, no coupon either.

Maybe a CC rep will chime in here about that, or maybe give them a call and ask if there should have been a coupon in the box. If not, I'm sure someone here has a spare link or two they could spare. Heck, I probably have several extra - I just have to go digging for them.

The Mamba Monster should have the Castle Link chip included in the package. Check the foam that the Monster was in, it should be shoved in the foam, there's a small slit on the larger side of the foam. If it wasn't in the package, please PM your shipping info and we'll get one sent out.

As for the pinion gear, it should be a 18 tooth, 32 pitch aluminum gear.

Yep ok found it lol, used to the first MMM V3 where it was in a lil baggy so you could see it poking out.
