Nice work Nic. Looks like keeping an R/C under control at speeds over 100mph are pretty hairy. Those videos would be much better with some onboard telemitry to go with it.

Every time I watch those videos, I get goose-bumps……..
The Discovery channel was there filming for the Daily Planet TV show - We got a late start due to a small scheduling miscue & the Auto Club research testing. After set-up and filming – the first cautious, shakeout run with mini cameras strapped to the body (only a slow 106mph)– hit the track around 2pm. About 2:30 the rain came with a vengeance, It’s a shame our day was stopped by Mother Nature. The weather report said that there was a 10% chance of rain and the chances didn’t even go up to a 30% till midnight. What can ya do… As we found out – the reason the car was pulling so hard to right was a missing drive-pin in the right front axle (I think I have to fire my mechanic- LOL) It was easily fixed - we where just about ready to go for another run --- > then the flash of lightning and the immediate crack of thunder happened and forced our team to scramble just to protect all the electronics that where out in the open. Now we just have to do it again - with better weather..........Jan, Feb – April, not sure right now. Overall – Fantastic Teamwork, I had a great time and looking foreword to 2012. Cheers N
