Removing Mamba Max Pro fan? - 07.16.2013, 08:08 PM

I put a Mamba Max Pro 5700kv setup in my Associated B4.1 Worlds, but it's a bit tall and the body hits it so it doesn't sit properly.

The fan never turns on, so I was thinking maybe I could just remove it (and trim the case down accordingly)?

Will this void my warranty?

I'm geared very conservatively on 2S. After an entire pack everything was only like 100 degrees or so.

I don't see a problem with it, castle sells replacement cases for it anyway so I doubt they would mind unless obviously it overheats. If it's running that cool with the covers, it's probably run cooler without as long as you don't do anything crazy.

As for warranty though, I can't truly say
