For Sale - NTC3 brushless converted for speed runs -
12.29.2013, 04:03 PM
Up for sale is a NTC3 that I have converted to brushless for speed running. I haven't use it in over a year, but I just went over it and it is still in tip top shape.
Basically I started with a NTC3 platform, stripped off the nitro stuff, made room for a battery, made a motor mount, and threw in a Castle Mamba Max with a 4600 k/v motor. I was running the setup on 4s. I never updated the firmware on the ESC, which is why it lets me run over the 3s rating. I've read of people using 5s but I never got up that high in speed.
The mount is very simple as you can see, it's a piece of aluminum stock that I tinkered with to get it close.
I run a fan on the chassis to keep things cool. Not necessary but it was easy enough to throw in for some security.
Right now as is, with a 4s LiPo, it'll hit 84 MPH. I have a video online with a radar gun confirmation.
Car comes with a brand new chassis, and a brand new carbon fiber upgrade kit, which I kept in the event I exploded the whole car.
Car has usual bumps and scratches, but shockingly nothing terrible. I was pretty good about replacing parts as I broke them, going 80+ MPH on something that isn't structurally sound isn't a good idea.
Foam tires have plenty of life left in them.
Not much else to say about it. The only thing I need out of the car is the receiver, otherwise it'll be ready to go, just drop in a receiver, bind, throw in batteries, and go for some runs. No batteries included either, what you see in the pics, less the receiver is what is for sale.
Throw prices at me via PM, not looking for anything to trade at the moment, cleaning out the garage.
