Well it's not really a new rig because it uses the same clod axles as my last rig, as seen here:
But, that last rig had issues. The motors were too fast without enough torque, the chassis was too heavy, the wheels were too wide (and the "bead locks" sucked), the servo didn't have enough torque, and the body was way to beautiful too beat the crap out of it. My solution, scrap everything but the axles!
So here's the new stuff:
A chassis that is 1-1/2" narrower than the last, HPI super nitro wheels, and LRP vTec 1200 pack:
A better bottom shock mounting position and aluminum servo mounts:
65t lathe motors (couldn't track down any 55's around here):
Fixed steering linkage and new TowerPro digital MG servo (200oz at 7.2 volts, 170 at 5):
