Acid on g2 chassis - 06.26.2006, 11:12 PM

About a month ago I ran my new IB4200's and after the first one I noticed acid leaking and covered the aluminum on the chassis. Is there anything that can be used to clean the chassis?

you could try greased lightning. it is great stuff really works well on an array of stuff, takes off anodizing though which could be good in some cases. also dissolves CA glue for taking tires off rims. really really good stuff and it does not harm aluminum. try it!!!

The residue of Ni "battery-acid" should just be water soluble. No need for strong stuff. Try to wipe it off with a wet tissue.

I just hate cleaning the truck because those acid spots just make it look horrible

You may have to polish the spots back to match up to the orginal aluminum.
