Jammin CRT Conversion - 09.12.2006, 01:12 PM

I converted mine to brushless and was wondering if anyone figured out how to put a bigger spur than the kyosho 46t?

I have seen some get a adapter made to fit the 51 tooth ofna gear on it.
With a small pinion you don't need to big of spur. 46 tooth spur with 9 tooth pinion. 5.11 ratio With the 3.31 gives you a final drive of 16.91 You could try a diff change in front and back to the 4.3 diffs.

Peace!

I got a 10 tooth pinion on it running a 1940/9 on 5s lipo. The motor and the quark are getting pretty hot. Plus, I don't need that much speed, so I was thinking of changing the gearing to run a little cooler.

You could get a 9tooth and try if they 10 only seems a little to much.
If not an adapter or other means is needed.

If you like quality time with your dremel you can mod a 52T Savage gear and the 46T kyosho gear into one. Not exactly off-the-shelf but it works. :D

That's what I have been running in my CRT.
