i was wondering if the mamba max could handle a bigmaxximum since it can handle the neu motors and there 4 pole too and do u guy yhink it can handle 24 cells with the ubec ?? thnax

Uh...I think double the voltage is a obvious no-no...As well as the fact that a Big Maxximum can't handle 24 cells...And not to mention, a Neu 1515 would be more powerful...

I don't have got too high hopes on the bigmaxximum.

Not so much more powerful isn't what squee is saying. But the fact that the motor can't handle 24 cells at all.

I think the bigmaxx will survive 24 cells.

No, the mamba maxx is rated for 4S lipo maxx.

Just out of curiousity Serum, how long do you think the bigmaxx would survive? Seems like a lot of volts to be pushing....

No, why?

it's got a 2200 kv, a high efficiency and a built in fan. (and a HUGE one) that motor is build tough.

It will be a hot setup, but there is a difference between 'can't handle it' and 'usable for insane speedruns'

on 16 cells, and geared for about 75mph-80mph (overgeared?) the motor didn't got real hot..

And mine had a small fan, compared to the bigmaxxes i have seen elsewhere.

You know, I was just looking at those pics and realized just how nice that cooling design is. The integrated fan in the rear blowing across those fins. The fan airflow redirector also acts as a fan guard. The fins, being angled, makes sure that the air more effectively cools it. IMO, way better than a simple heatsink, or rigging some type of biscuit fan over the motor.

I just think 24 cells is a bit much...Isn't it rated for 18 cells?
