Mamba Max and B4 insane speed !! -

I got to try out my new rig last night. The Mamba Max 5700 and 3S Lipo in a team associated B4. 20/81 gearing.
The speed is just insane. After 2 packs the brand new rear tires are completely bald. I don't know what the top speed is because I can't get it there. I try to ease up to about 40 or 50 mph and then stomp it and it still flips over backwards. I think the only way to get up to top speed would be to follow in a car, because I run out of range before I can reach it.
I ground off both shock towers and the 2 rear shock caps already. It's amazing how much damage a car gets skidding upside down at 60 mph.
Anyway, I need a new set of rear tires, that will hold up for more than 2 runs. Is there any setup that will help to keep from flipping over backwards everytime I stab the gas? I tried strapping a 1/2 socket to the front shocktower but that wasn't enough weight and just makes it handle badly.
I'll try to get a video sometime this weekend. Right now I have to order several parts. I've broken about half the parts on this car already.
Mine:
2007 Grizzly 700 EPS EFI
Sons:
BL E-Maxx
4S MA 4000 Lipo/MM ESC
Feigao 9XL 22/54 gearing
Gmaxx single speed
Why not fabricate a wheelie bar that is almost touching the ground when flat? Kinda like a dragster.
You might also want to try reducing some of the power settings on the ESC. That way you won't have as much punch on take-off. Sure it will take longer to get to high speed, but less than it takes getting to high speed on its lid! :)
I just dialed in some punch control and lowered the timing a notch. I will try that tommorrow and see if it's any better. I can't find any street tires for a buggy, they all seem to be for trucks.

Try some Dirt Hawgs, they don't wear as quick as minipins and the like. Its important to keep the nose close to the ground, it will wheelie at such a high speed easily if you go over a small stone or something which interupts the car and lets air get under it.
Another option may be to get some hub adaptors and use Maxx wheels. There are a ton of true street tires for those size rims. The tires will stick out a little further though...
They are listed for truck, but they will fit just fine on the buggy. The outer diameter is 3.6", so they're almost identical in diameter to buggy tires, so no gearing changes needed. They are wider, 2.3" compared to 1.9". I have these on my RC18T for the street and they grip great and wear well too.
I've used the road rage tires on my stadium truck with only a 12x3 D4 Motor, 6-GP3300's, and A Novak ESC and I can spin them at will until the car is over 30mph.
I'm not sure they'll grip enough for your insane level of power. Lower the car as much as possible with the front being slightly lower than the rear. You can also experiment with softer springs up front and firmer in the rear for street duty only.
Wheelie bars are a really good idea........consider the Traxxas JATO 3.3. It tops out in excess of 65mph!
