Question Body Question - 11.03.2006, 08:49 PM

I feel so stupid asking this here... Well for asking anywhere...

but the obvious answer hasn't popped out anywhere in forums.

I'm lookin for a body for my Traxxas Rustler... the stock body looks a tad bit small now that I've added extended arms to it... so... I'd like to find another body for it. I've searched a few places online... and get lost.

Long ago there was a local hobby shop near me in Cressona PA... I could go there and check out the bodys and just buy one that fit my truck... the online search is a tad trickier. Bought one body... VW beetle... came today and looks like it would fit a mini-t. no go there...

on a few sites... they list 1/10th scale bodies... I assume any of those would fit my truck. Rustler being 1/10th scale. But it also says 200mm. Which to me (being an inches and feet person) seems small.

This info from the traxxas site, also confused me worse... it states the body as being 406mm?!?...

BODY-
Length: 16" (406mm)
Width: 6.5" (164mm) at rear wheels (widest point)
5.7" (144mm) behind from wheels (thinnest point)
Height: 4.3" (110mm)

Any idea what I'm looking for?!?

I have heard of a few peeps running a maxx size body on them. I think it is
with the extended chassis though. You need or could match the wheel base up. That is the important part.

Peace!

I used the E-Savage Baja TT Body on my Rusty. Fit perfectly with the extended arms and masher tires but I had to do some mods to the body mounts to make it work. I actually used front body mount posts for both the front and back to make it fit.

This is it at tower (no picture though) http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPNC0&P=7 , There is a picture here, second one down on this page. http://www.hpiracing.com/bodies/newbody.php

Heres a couple pics of it with the body on.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
