Just as Natrix said; the order of the wires from the ESC doesn't matter. There is no "polarity". Just hook up any of the ESC wires to the motor. If the motor runs the wrong way, just swap any of the two wires... any of them.
THe UBEC is lighter so it's better IMO.
Yes, the UBEC + and - wires get soldered to the ESC + and - wires. Just make sure you solder the right UBEC wires on there (not the outputs).
brian the outputs is the one with the airtronics connector right?the one i got from rcmonsters has a connector on one end and the red and black wires are exposed at the opposite end..
thanks guys..is it ok if i use a y-harness for my brake servo and the throttle servo?im also using a y-connector for my batteries..thanks guys ..sorry for too many questios i just dont want to burn anything again..

hi i just wanna know if i did this right?i soldered the ubec wires with the esc wires to the deans..heres the pix..i just wanna be 100% sure before i connect these on the batts..ill have more pictures coming on every procedure ill do..meanwhile ill wait till u say YES the pic looks right thanks guys..
thanks..i got 2 z- connectors one from the ubec and 1 from the esc..the one from the ubec goes to the battery slot in the rx right?and the esc connector goes to my y-harness that goes in the th/brake slot on the rx?
