Smile Some questions and such - 11.30.2006, 08:57 AM

Two Main Questions
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.) First I want to know what kind of gearing i should run. I will be getting the 2 hb diffs and the slipperential. I will also be getting the quark 125B, 2 4800 orion lipos, (with heatsink an one fan) and the 7XL motor. My question is what size pinion and spur(revo spur) do I need. I am trying to gear this car for the most speed i can get with out getting in to over or undergearing and cool runing temps. So basically what is a fast but yet effective gear size for speed and efficianty. If you dont mind telling me the exact size of both gear and pionion unstead of the over all gear ratio. The reason i want to know this is because only 1 mod 1 pinion is 25 busck and i dont want to spend 150 bucks tring to find the right pinion. Thanks.

2.) Ok since i will be running 2 2s lipo on this maxx i will be using an external ubec for cool runnings with esc. I will also be running 1, maby 2 fans for cooling reasons. I will also be running 333oz torque servo and a spectrum reciever with 3 chanels( slots for servo, esc, ect...) my question is how so i effectintly wire the quark for two batts. I do not want to wire inside of the box. How do you guys wire you quark for 2 batteries. A pic would be nice of wiring. Also as for as the fan goes can i just wire the one or both fans to a three prong plug and plug it into the extra spot on the receiver will that work. Not much else if you think there will be a problem with any of the setups i have mentioned tell me thanks for your help.

(this was already been posted and some one recommended that i move it to the brushless forums but i dont know how to move it so i remade it here sorry!)

Here is a rough draft of series wiring. As for the fans, you can wire those in parallel.

You would wire the wires together, and then to the plug. You can use a three prong, but only the pos and neg will be used. So, yeah, wire them together. Make sure that the neg and pos are in the right spots on the plug to the receiver.
