Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

I must say, that is a good deal for all of that stuff! That is, assuming that the quality of the car is decent.

Anyone notice the part about the "scale speed"? That's the second time I've seen that today - at work today (LHS) I noticed on the ATV-style body of the HPI Savage that a scale speed is listed on the box (but I don't remember what it was). I don't get the point to this scale speed thing.

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

Scale Speed, MAH!

Who needs scale speed, when we've got REAL speeds, 60mph anyone??!!

;)

BTW, they should have plopped a couple A123 M1 cells in there, you could charge the thing in 15 minutes.

I'm sure it's just a marketing gimmick. Sounds really cool to tell your friends your tiny R/C would be going 400mph+ if it was full size. I'm sure this doesn't fool the intelligent buyers out there, but not all of them are intelligent. :)

There is no such thing as scale speed. Time is always 1:1, you can't scale time.. (unless you go really, really fast..)

If it was doing 640 mph, i would be 19.4 cm tall.. Which probably makes me wear clogs, and i would be put in the garden for decorational use..

If a car was bigger and the wheels turn same rpm. Then the car would
cover more ground in the same speed.
Real speed is still better.

Peace!

if everything is 1/10th, then the wheels would turn 10 times as hard, and the diameter would be 10 times as large.. which would make it go 100 times as fast.. now that's an argument to sell it..

The reason why i find it pitiful to talk about scale speed..

LOL

or you could say... weight is the cube of the scale, so 1/10 th = 10x10x10= 1000 times faster!?
