New Project Help - 12.17.2006, 12:44 AM

9920 BEC JUMPER REMOVED
APACHEE 5S LIPO/ WONDERER 8XL
EXTERNAL BEC
HAVE KYOSHO INFERNO GT 2speed - MINUS NITRO STUFF
I want to use the mechanical brakes.
When wiring it up , do I program the 9920 foreward only, plug in the bec into battery slot ,steering servo into channel 1 ,existing thorottle/brake servo into channel 2 and leave channel 3 empty,? DOES this give thorottle to the wonderor and opposite braking power? This car has no reverse.

I like my nitro cars but hooked on brushless

you will need a y harness on the throttle channel. Plug in esc and brake servo there. Program esc forward only and dissable brakes.

Some times the servos don't work in the right direction. I have had this
problem with a few.

Yes, the orientation of the servo's can be hard.. You need to think of something so you can use the servo you have in the right direction.

Programming the controller with the servo channel reversed won't work.. (at least, it didn't worked with my setups)

So is it just a crap shoot on the servos or being in the right servo direction ahead of time> just dumb luck or all of that. It can be done ,right?. Do different servos behave differently. For running esc what servos in your opinion are best. As I set this up I perfer to do it right.
My quark125b brakes on pavement will just flip my Emaxx. 5s 9xl.
This progect is fof a Kyosho inferno GT- nitro stuff

Thanks Mark

Different servos have different directions for some reason.
I think hi tec and futuba are different. I am not possitive though.

Is it true that the Quark 125b does not have a foreward only, no brakes, setting?
