GP Keychain - 01.10.2007, 09:50 PM

Well, while ordering Lipo's from MaxAmps, I also ordered a single GP1100 battery cell and a mini battery bar to make myself a keychain. I've seen a few of the nitro guys do it with piston/conrods from their 2.5R's and Pro .15's, but I don't want to cannabalize my T-Maxx's old 2.5 just yet (may use for ERP).

Anyway, since I am more electric oriented (as of now, since my G2R is my most advanced car - and most expensive lol), I decided that a GP1100 keychain would suit me better. :027:

Here are the pics:

Let me know what you guys think.

Yep! Thanks for the reminder!

can't wait to get it all together!

It is kind of a bummer that my 8-Cell packs will sit idle for a while until the MMM comes out, but it is what it is!

Could it short in your pocket with your keys? Cool idea though, makes me want to do one...

I have torn apart my old hpi .15 for the piston and connecting rod and put it on my key ring...

Should I put my dead 180 mamba on my key ring?:005:

Bye:018:

I'm going to either fully discharge it or find some what to insolate the negative side of the cell (so it can't be connected to the positive and short out).

Procharged, many guys use their MM's on 5S lipo and some have even used 6S! I think you could get away with 16 cells. Its just .7v higher than 5S, which is used ALL the time.

I might try it once it's all set up and tested on 12 cells.

Use some clear heat shrink (for cells) or even clear tape (PVC) on the bottom.

The Mamba is a little too costly (didn't have a fried one lying around) and a little to large/heavy for my liking, but it still looks cool!

I think it matters less for you (thats alot of keys). My keyring will consist of my car key and the alarm control for it...thats it.

You'll feel it long before it smokes;))

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise
