Nice truck! What motor is that, 10L? or 7XL? Really nice, man i wonder how it smoked up, how long after the run did it smoke up?

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

Thanks guys.... These pictures were taken after my first run, I didnt ( more like I forgot) to mesh the spur/pinion properly before I ran it the first time and it was loose....... I replaced teh spur right after.....

Teh motor is a 7XL, lots of power and if it wasnt for my wheelie bar, it would flip on its back no prob...... Mike said that this is the first 9918 to smoke, it had to happen to me :M:..... its OK though cos my truck is convertible to nitro:D ...... I was gonna play with batts first but I guess its nitro for now....... Here's my nitro truck, everything is the same except for the chassis......

LOL. THAT's the way to keep your truck going.. :D

Little less power than the 7XL, but still okay.. ;)

I was just breaking it in and so far its gonna be close to teh 7XL.... its a Rex .28 thats moded by EBMods...... I have a feeling its gonna be faster than the &XL when tuned, but then it could only be the noise that make it appear faster lol........

Just waiting now for a VBS and 8 spyder to complete my next truck so these guys dont have to share suspension,....... the gorilla maxx gets teh RacerX but the Supermaxx gets teh VBS:D

Very nice pair of SuperMaxxes.

Glad you are having fun running it.

Which one do you prefer more? The Nitro or the brushless?

Thanks...

Its actually just one truck but they are sharing the suspension for now till I get some more parts...... as to what I prefer, I like em both but if I can have just one then it will be the nitro truck..... nothing beats the ability to keep running and not have to wait to charge batteries..... If Im bashing for a short time I like teh brushless cos its just plug and play but if I have to travel somewhere far to bash and I have time, I liket eh nitro......

Serum, the body was painted by Seb at sebcustom.com , he makes some awesome bodies and he's local here in vancouver.... check out his site....

Sweet truck(s). I have one almost identical to the gorilla (different motor and tires and the prototype single speed). I have a feeling your controller will be fixed very quickly (by me). From your explanation, it didn't exactly "smoke" . I will let you know when I get it.

Thanks mike..... and thanks alot for all your help, like I said above this thing handles awesome cos I had it super low..... as for the controller, I still havent mailed it out cos I can never get out of work during the day..... like you said I dont think the controller is fried, hopefully its an easy fix for you....

What motor are you running with yours? also is there a way to have 8 cells flat without hitting the servos?

I run a Lehner basic xl2400 on 5s Lipo packs. It weighs right around 8 pounds RTR. I also have the UE VBS on mine, though. If you raise the servo up, you can get the 8 cells flat on the lower chassis plate. There should have a been a couple spacers in the kit. If not, just put a spacer under the servo(on top of servo plate) between the servo and the upper plate to raise the servos out of the way.
