A Little of That Penn. Snow. - 02.14.2007, 07:47 PM

This is what happens when you take an E-Maxx and unleash it on the elements of a Pennsylvania snow-storm.

On a side note: I fried my AirTronics steering servo...."ding-dang" (for lack of a far more inappropriate word) ice blocks.

VSM clocked it at 28 MPH in 3" of ice-ridden snow....I was weeping like a school-girl with a skinned knee I was so proud.

Per your request Sylvester, this is my baby a few months back when she was all cleaned up...since then the steer blocks have gone HCR alum. and a few other smaller mods.

Overall Specs:

HV-Maxx 6.5...most powerful out there? No, but it'll do for now.

Team Integy:
a.) Bulks
b.) Braces (bumper and chassis)
c.) Towers & Mounts
d.) Arms (front and rear, upper and lower)
e.) MSR4 Shocks (Piggyback)
f.) Bumpers (front and rear)
g.) Diff Housings (gear boxes / and collars)
h.) Skid plates (front / center / rear)

Tsais CVD's (front and rear)
MIP centers....will be switching to Traxxas CVD's when they arrive. (too many problems)
G-Maxx Straps
VSM Speed-Meter
New Era Chassis
Venom / Atomik Blue-Flame body
RPM 6-spoke StableMaxx Rims
Stock Traxxas T/E-Maxx tires....will be modding to fit Talons soon.

The whole thing runs on 2 7-cell IB4200 SCE's.

Top Speed: 34 MPH. Winning any races? no...but it does attract some attention when it's ripping down my street.

May be putting this beauty on the market soon, all good things must come to an end.

It is a nice shelf queen, but it isnt meant for hard running imo. Integy is not meant for any type of abuse. If you do planning on selling it, dont plan on getting any more than 600 unless you part it out. All in all its a nice ride!

While I appreciate your overall compliments Sylvester, I never claimed it was a racer or a top of the line truck, it simply is what it is. As for abuse....that term is all relative; one man's abuse is another man's toying.

Hey, if it is working for you thats great! And very true on the abuse issue, didnt mean to say any of that. In other matters, why are you planning on selling this truck?

Nice truck man! I like the fact you have the balls to ride it in the snow! LOL, very cool. Too bad about your servo though, is it the same one that Mike sells? If so, that's 109.00 down the crapper! :(

How on earth did you keep the snow off of your esc? I've run trucks in snow with brushed motors and all (lots of balloons and foil over the esc), but I'd be real scared to do what you did. The times I did it the trucks came in packed with snow!

cadima, keeping the snow off the ESC came through the gracings of a Wal-Mart bag and a little duct tape. Basically I have found that wrapping just the chassis with a modified Wal-Mart bag (now that's a mod Mike should sell!) solves the ESC problem, it's just the front tires you gotta worry about, and they send most of their crap up and under, so wrap from the bottom up, tying it inside the body, but nothing is foolproof.

And neweuser, yes, it is one in the same....it now lays, dismantled, at my work station in a puddle of tears. But as any true r/c'er knows, if you don't break something expensive every now and again, you mustn't be running quite hard enough. Words to live by.

Looks nice. And the most important part, is tha you like it, so have as much fun as you can with it, while you still have it.
