Exclamation Got a "Sneak Peak" from the mail man today... - 03.20.2007, 09:17 PM

... if you know what I mean.

Today I receive a very cool gift in the mail. Being in contact with Mike over the last few months, I have gained the acceptance of the first set of 1/8 differential conversion for the Revo. Mike has spent the last few months working these parts out, and man has it shown. Some of you may have seen the thread he started a little while back with the mindset of these differentials. This first set of diffs will be placed in the future "revolution" of the Revo, in which Crazy Phantom Racing will be releasing soon. (www.CrazyPhantom.com) A full write up review will also be placed on the website as soon as I get some actual driving testing done on these diffs.

To offer a small review for the forum;
Quality:
9.5 of 10

Assembly:
8.5 of 10

Precision:
10 of 10

Design:
10 of 10

Overall:
9.5 of 10

These overall were very good products. The only downside that I saw was that the case halfs had to be "snapped" together with a little force. I would have also liked to see pinion shaft bearings included. I think Mike's patience with designing has paid off very well with a very good product. Also pictured are "stubbs" that allow the use of stock revo driveshafts.

Sorry for the blurry pics:

Pictures dont begin to show how much these cases are a work of art of work compared to in person seeing.

Me. Want. NOW!

Those look beautiful. I think the snap into place is fine - shows a precision fit. I'd rather them be a PITA to put together than a PITA to use (aka repairing/replacing all the time). A snap into place is a small price to pay for bullet proof diffs. :D

Decisions, decisions. To get them or not to get them? The stock Revo diffs seem to be holding up pretty well for me. If these are priced well enough, I might consider them. Although they do look pretty :027:.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Just put a water mark on there so other companies dont go around saying they are their's. I give full credit to RC Monster, and I will put the logo on it too if it is really needed, but Im in a hurry to get out of the house right now.
