Why can't people accept Lipo? -

[Rant]So to preface this post, there is a track that is an hour away from me that I had planned to race in Mod Truck class with a BL/Lipo T4 over the summer. Anyhow, when I called a couple of weeks back, I was told that any BL motor and any 2S lipo would be legal for their club races. So, today I see on rctech.net that they have come up with this "Summer Points Series" and that BL is allowed, but no Lipo. So, they will allow the Lipo for their club races, but not for their points series which isn't even under any organizations' rules but their own?!? So that leaves about 2-4 races over the summer for their "club races" which I could race it. I told the guy on the phone that's it not even worth it. I'm not going to go buy old technology because other folks don't know how to use the new stuff. [/Rant]
I feel you. there's a big track about an hour and a half from me, that I've always wanted to run, but they don't allow lipo because they go by ROAR's rules.. which doesn't allow lipo.. I believe it has something to do with the track's insurance policy though.. blech.

but, I just found this: http://roarracing.org/news.php
that will most likely help everyone using lipo, as it is finally going main stream.
I hear ya'. I couldn't race our points series either, which bummed me out because it was about the time that I had my equipment running the way it should.
You could always just mess with their heads and show up with either A123 or lithium manganese packs.
I'm in Winter Park (Orlando) and skellyo is somewhere not too far away.
Edit: You beat me to it.
We still don't know about OWC though, the guy said he was open to all suggestions for classes and is going to try and not leave anyone out. So it's still promising.
I might have to head out to OWC next week to try and tune up my T4. I had a T3 with a MM/380C 6L combo. Now I've got a FT T4, upgraded to Spektrum for my M11 and will have a MM powering either a GM-Racing 5.5 or 7.5 motor.
