Cooked Lehner 1940 - Opened Up! -

Ok, here's some photos of my Lehner 1940 opened up. When I opened it up it smelled like bong resin - real nice :020: . Took me back to my college days.
Anyway, if you can't tell from the photos, the interior copper wire had some black spots, and it was the worst at the rear of the motor where the wires come out. I almost think there was a short of some kind. Some of you might remember that when I first got it it sounded like there was a rubbing sound when I would spin the shaft. Well, I think that might have had something to do with it. Anyway, take a look and let me know your thoughts.
Yeah, good question. The only problem is how well the magnet held up. It still seems to have a strong pull to it, but the thing got up to 232 degrees. I'm pretty sure it has some damage.
I guess I could try. I'll go on their website and see if I can find something. Who knows, maybe I'll be surprised. I'm assuming they'll say to send them the motor and then I'll have to wait for a couple months.
the magnet is black cuz one of the windings came out.. and was rubbing on the magnet.. and Lehner won't reply.. I've sent them numerous emails... exact same thing happened to my 2280...
let me know if you get a reply... I just wanted a reply, either they can fix it or not.. simple as that... I wonder if Mike can just get the Stator/Can.. so I can alteast save a couple of $$$..
