How do you define 'better'? If you mean performance, then the 7XL of course. :017: :005:

If you mean a proper setup that won't get scorching hot and is going to have plenty power, then that would be a 9XL, even a 10XL.

so the the 7xl will be better as in accelaration and top speed but the 9xl won't burn. top speed wise is there a big difference?

I was joking about the 7XL part, really. No one in their right mind around here would run that setup, it's simply to 'hot', and literally hot, maybe for speeds runs, but that's about it.

I think I speak for most ppl on this forum that the 9 or 10 XL would be a good setup for bashing, racing, and won't stress things too much (mechanical & electrical).

Yes, start with the 18T, and go from there.

I tried that setup once in my (UE) racebomb for about 10 minutes. It was way to much power for me. I was rolling pretty good at half throttle, then i pulled the trigger to full throttle it fliped right on it's lid time after time. LOL:005:

My truck right now with 5s2p A123 pack on 7XL I find is too much power at times... not all the time though! :027: On gravel it's nice, grass it will lift the front end at any speed

I tried my 7XL with 16 IB 3600 cells in a 12 1/5 almost 13 pound truck . It was very impresssive when i pulled the trigger but i dont think it would be usable power in a race. There really is such a thing as to much power :005: ?.

5s2p = 5 series cells (@3.3volts) with 2 of these paralleled (@ 2.3Ah cell) for better performance and longer runtime. So, it's 16.5v nominal, with 4600mAh capacity.

A123 cells are different from Lithium Polymer cells. They are a Nano Lithium-Phosphate chemistry, it's new (1 year old) and quite revolutionary.
