Does anyone know anything about this control, I saw it pop up here on these forums a couple of weeks ago and someone said it had no brakes or reverse but it does plus my guy at fdm said it works awesome in his buddys savage. I want one, but I also want a second opinion. I have also sent castle several e mails with no responce.

It should work as long as you use mechanical brakes. In fact, I've got a Barracuda 125 heading my way in the mail for just such a project.

Thanks for the post, very little is known about this control. I am told that it does have brakes, I have g maxx so I will need them. Also I'm told that it has deul wires to handle the extra power. castle wont even talk with me about it.

hi

this is a very interesting controller. unfortunately i was short in time the last months. otherwise i guess i would have bought one of these long ago.

here is the answer i got on a mail, 29th of may 07.

"They do have a brake...it's not the factory setting though. You have to
change it either via transmitter programming or with the link. So you
know, all of our boat ESCs have reverse function.

Joe Ford
Product Specialist
Castle Creations"

so it should be possible to setup a hydra correctly to use it in a car. as i already have a watercooled system in my savy this esc would be a nice fit...at least this is my hope.

bye

Cuda 125

i've had good experiences with the Castle Creations Barracuda 125's in my [6 to 18 cell] fast electric boating applications...

including set'n the current I.M.P.B.A. Q-Mono 1/16th mile straightline speed record using one...

that record was set using a 33 inch Seaducer mono, running a Neu 1515 1Y/S, with a Cuda 125, on 18-IB4200's turning a modified Octura X645 prop...

i've been wanting to try a 125 in my Losi 8-T with a [1515 1Y/F] on [4s-2p]

but have been too busy of late to get round to it...

it's time i made time and tested one of these controls in the Losi :)

i'll let you know how it works out...
