Need advice on 5 cell speed control -

I'am to convert a Revo into brushless, and i've a MM speed comtrol, but i want to run my revo on 5 cells li-po, with a Feigao 9XL motor.
I'am not sure to take the chance to put 5 cells on my MM controler, so could you tell me wich speed control to choose.
I've look at the Quark 125 but don't know if it's a good choice. Some one ever tell me that this controler have bad habit to overheat.
And i'am not certain if i want speed over $400.00CAD on a MGM.
Need help please.
Well, if you can read the part # on one of the FET devices, that would be the easiest way. If the part # is 22N03S, then it should work on 5s. If it's 4108N, then it might not. You could always simply try it on 5s and see...
I've ran 5S on two MM with good luck. One was one that I got right after they came out, the other one was from March after a warr replacement (wifey killed the orig ;) ).
They had diff cases as well. I can't desc the diffs, but if you post a pic I can prolly tell. Don't know if this is a def telltale of the FETs tho. Best case is to just try it and be easy on it at first. I wouldn't use motor brake w/ 5S tho.
IMO, if you are running so close to the ESC's limit that you have to discable electric brakes, I wouldn't run that voltage. But I'm funny that way.
I am 'funny' that way too... hehe
Anyone else a bit comical on this subject? lol
