Kyosho 1/10th nitro Truggy - 10.11.2007, 12:04 AM

like the title says, Kyosho will be releasing a nitro 1/10th scale truggy!

looks like the crt.5 will have some solid competition soon. Looks like a great conversion platform as well.

There's also a buggy coming out as well. There's a link to in in the buggy forum.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

rcm xb8
rcm crt.5

...The KYOSHO DST...Nice looking vehicle...There is a video up at KYOSHO..Looks like a PERFECT candidate to go brushless...Release date is slated for December...

...here is the English link for the KYOSHO spiel on the DST...

...The movie is pretty cool too though the truggy is in the latter half...

I've always wondered why there are not 4WD 1/10th stadium trucks, that would be WAY better than the current T4/XXXT trucks...hopefully Kyosho will make an electric version.

I agree! That's why I have an electric MT2 18SS and CRT.5 that I plan on converting to 1/10. Too bad the MT2's diffs suck, along with the hardened ones on my 18SS kit. But if Kyosho DOES make an electric version that is just as strong as the nitro (and strong enough for our brushless), I think it will be a winner...

...i doubt they will...KYOSHO doesnt really mix up their platforms like HPI does for example...Its a PRIME SUSPECT for a conversion though...Chuck some bigger rims and tires on it and it will be great...

...I reckon diffs and arms and sus. parts etc will be available separately around spring some time...Keep y'all posted as to what is happening with this here in Japan...

This is a Kyosho version of the HotBodies Lightning 10 and Staduim 10. Good to see that class starting to grow. But if Kyosho put a center diff instead of a slipper it will be terr right out of the box.

Very cool little truck. And I agree... PRIME candidate for a conversion.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

..terr...?

Terrific? Terrible? termites?

...It IS interesting that they have put this out because its NOT such a big field in Japan just yet...It really kinda sticks out like dogs balls in the market...But seeing as KYOSHO has announced a dedicated crawler too then i might NOT be surprised if in 4 months they offer the DST as a BL RTR...KYOSHO and NOVAK are VERY tight in our market ;)
