Question about the castle CC BEC - 11.03.2007, 06:05 PM

On some web site, the CCBEC don't have any capacitor on it, and on other site, the BEC have a capacitor on the input?

Could you tell me if it's the same one??

Appears to be the same one. Why one has a cap and the other doesn't is beyond me though...

I don't know but I have one and there is no cap on it like in the pic you posted.
Here's a pic of mine.

mine doesn't have a cap also. seems like a good price on the one with the cap. i wonder if it has less abilities and needs the cap to keep up with the rating?

I think the one with the cap was a prototype CC made, and released a picture of, before coming out with the current CCBEC.

That makes the most sense to me.

There is a cap in the new CC BEC, it's just inside the shrinkwrap... I've put extra cap's on my servo and receiver power leads from the bec, propably overkill but I won't be having voltage drops or radio glitches. I used 220uF 10v caps, they are small and I've soldered them on just after the connectors.

If I could only draw what I see in my head, then afford to build it, and finaly get to play with it...
