Wanted! RCM Hybrid Diffs - Cases Only or Drop ins - 11.16.2007, 09:42 PM

RCM is out of stock. Their Email box is full, so my emails are bouncing back. LOL

Does anyone have any of the Hybrid Diffs they want to part with? Used is ok as long as it's rebuildable. I would prefer the 4.3:1 gears but the 4:1 ratio is ok also.

I need two of them. PM or post here if you can help.

Thanks.

Its 3.31:1 or 4.3:1. No 4:1. Also, which e-mail address are you using?

I was using sales@rc-monster.com

I need the 4.3:1 ratio for my Outrunner Revo.

After I took a closer look, I see they do have the bare cases. So then I searched the forums on which gears to use to get the 4.3:1

I appears there is a compatibility issue with the pinion gear shaft being 8mm with no hole? What is the best solution to this problem?

This Pinion http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJBM3&P=7

This Ring http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJBM4&P=7

These together will give me the 4.3:1 ratio AND fit the RCM case?

I noticed something else here. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLGX2&P=7

The one looks like it might be compatible with the 10 tooth pinion gear for a 5:1 gear ratio. Will it work with the RCM case? If it does, I would rather go this way.

Ok, heres what I think:

Use the 10T pinion you linked. It doesn't need a hole since it has a flat spot. Simply use a stock dogbone cup for the LSP

Use the LSP diff. I believe the one you linked is a 43T, despite it saying its a 50. I think it says 50 because the center diff for the LSP has a 50. Type or error on there part. 4.3:1 is all your gonna get.

I used 2 of these for the pinion shaft (front & rear diffs)- allows you to use the RCM dogbones, although the rear needs to be a little shorter to compensate for the longer pinion shaft. I dont know of any cvd options really though....

Well crap, I guess I snoozed and lost. Now it says "out of stock" on the Hybrid diff cases.

I wonder when the ETA of the new stock is? I hate to bother Mike with an email. Does anyone know?

Anyone got a set they wanna turn loose of?
