On/Off Switch Question - 11.30.2007, 06:17 PM

I recently broke the switch on my MM. I know the ESC is capable of 100amps, but what is the amp rating for the on/off switch? Will a Radio Shack .5amp 30VDC SPST switch do the trick?

Thanks

Personally I gave up and put a dab of solder over the esc connection to make it permanently on...

Did it too. Then you don't forget to unplug your Lipo's.

So your ESC just powers up when you plug in the battery?

Yep. The switch doesn't really carry any current, so as BrianG said, that one would be fine.

The switch on my MM is just left on all the time...I only use it to program or as a general safety...

I always leave my packs unplugged unless I am running the truck.
