Hey Phil,

I sell them in my store and they are great. It only has 12v DC power, but an external power supply will allow you to use it off of 110v.

Only has a 50W max output so for 5s it means that you can only charge at around 2.7amps, which means around 2 hours to charge a 5000mah 5s pack.

Based on 50W max output or 5A charger maximum.

5s = 2.7A max charge rate
4s = 3.3A max charge rate
3s = 4.5A max charge rate
2s = 5.0A max charge rate

I thought they looked nice too untill I found that out. Its great if you only charge small packs or everything is 2 or 3 s. But for 4 or 5 s large capacity packs its somewhat less than ideal.

Other than that I have seen a couple people use them and they looked nice and easy to use.

Jhautz,

You are right, but you can't expect a $75 charger to perform like a $175 Hyperion charger.

Happy Holidays,

agreed...

I just wanted him to be clear on the actual performance he should expect. The specs don't mention the 50W max. They just say 2 to 5S and 1.0 to 5.0 amps capable. Which is not the whole story.

I actually think they are pretty nice for the $$$

This one need a 12V adapter as well, and like Jhautz says; they can't deliver a proper total power.

the MRC 989 delivers a neat 180watts of output power and it comes with an adapter as well.

It's more expensive. that's for sure.

if you've got patience, and you don't want to go further than 5S, the multiplex is a nice traveling friendly charger. Very versatile.
