CC25 and 1/18 scale... Convert to Mamba - 12.17.2007, 12:13 AM

Hello all,
One time I heard that you could load the Mamba 25 software into the CC25. If this is true does that make it a Mamba 25 or are there other differences that I need to be concerned about. I am thinking about a 1/18 car and have plenty of CC25 Phoenix controllers that are in planes right now. I am sure I have several that have not seen electricity for a year.

You can not do that...hardware and software are different between the MMB25 and the PHX25.

Hmmm,
I don't want to argue since you should know all, But the source that said this was possible said he heard it directy from Castle creations. now This was over a year ago, so I know that software and hardware has changed. And the info was simply that you could load the mamba software into the cc25. The info did not discuss what would happen if you used it in a car.... Like the Fets would over heat or anything like that.

Oh Well perhaps I rethink things. I was simply thinking I could get a 1/18 brushless setup real cheap. Maybe I will stay with my 1/10 scale stuff.
