Converting a XB8 - Shock and Diff Oil Question - 01.07.2008, 04:56 PM

I'm working on planning a conversion for an XB8 and I was wondering what people are using for oils in their BL XB8's.

Looking to find out both shock oil front/rear, and diff oil front/center/rear.

I know generally people run much higher diff oil in the center compared with the nitro version to prevent unloading to the front wheels at acceleration - but to what extent?

Also - if anyone knows - I'm curious to try out the XRAY oils, but don't know exactly what the conversion there would be for the shock oil numbers - seems like xrays 600 is somewhere around a 50 - anyone know??

I would say 600 is more like 60.

So then are the oils in the 1000+ range equivalant to the standard numbering other companies sell under the label of being "Diff Oil"?
